I joined FIU from Chile to study in the Atlantic History program. I hold a Bachelor’s degree from Universidad de los Andes and a Master’s degree from Universidad of Chile. My research focuses on state formation in Chile after Independence with an emphasis on constitutional and social aspects. My dissertation explores this process from the perspective of sexuality and gender, and covers the period between 1818 and 1857.
