Bio

I am a Colombian Anthropologist with Master’s degrees in both History and Education. My research connects the intellectual, political, and religious history of Latin America during the Cold War. Focusing on the transnational mobilization of Catholic students, it traces the rise of a young Latin American Catholic intelligentsia who advanced a theological and political renewal of Social-Christian thought by engaging both in ideological debates and grass-root activism in support of Liberationist projects throughout the region. I am a member of the Latin American Interdisciplinary Initiative on Religion and Secretary of The Digital Archive of Religion in Latin America at FIU. https://fiu.academia.edu/SandraLondono
