Bio

I hold a B.A. from FIU as well as an M.St. degree from the University of Oxford. I am broadly interested in the ways people have used history to explain their own times and particularly in the usages of historical narrative to reinforce structures of power. My dissertation centers on nineteenth-century narratives of indigenous presence and absence in the history of the United States, and their role in the debate surrounding Indian removal.
