Bio

Gremaud Angee, PhD earned his Ph.D. in History from Florida International University (FIU), specializing in modern Latin American history, particularly the intersections of religion, politics, and social movements in Brazil during the Cold War era. In 2023, he received the prestigious Fulbright-Hays Fellowship, which supported six months of archival research and interviews in Brazil for his dissertation project.

In addition to his research, Dr. Angee has several years of experience teaching American History at the university level, integrating themes of politics, society, religion, and culture into his courses. His academic background also includes a Master of Divinity and a Master of Science in Mass Communication.

Before entering academia full-time, Dr. Angee worked as a news producer for major international media outlets including Telemundo and CNN Español. In 2013, he was awarded a National Daytime Emmy Award as part of the breaking news team recognized for coverage of the election of Pope Francis.
