Bio

My research focuses on modern Latin American history, especially Brazil, exploring the intersections of religion, politics, and grassroots social movements during the Cold War. I examine how social and religious actors shaped political culture, civic engagement, and broader processes of religious and social change. I integrate these themes into my teaching in courses on U.S., Brazilian, Latin American, and global history.
