Bio

I am an international student coming from Colombia from where I earned my lawyer degree and my LL.M. In 2019, I received my M.A. degree in Latin American and Caribbean Studies from FIU. My research interests concentrate on legal history, gender, discourse analysis, and the construction of subaltern identity and subjectivities during the twentieth century. Under the guidance of Dr. Victor Uribe, I hope to write my dissertation about the ways in which the construction of the homosexual subject in twentieth-century Colombia was mediated by emotions, law, and medicine.
