Courtney Weis is a Ph.D. candidate in the Atlantic History Program at Florida International University. Her research interests include the Iberian Atlantic World, women´s and gender history, and the history of Catholicism. Her dissertation, "Blood and Womanhood", history of menstruation in the Spanish Atlantic.
