Past Degrees M.A in Architecture, Florida International University, 2015
Bio
Bobbi Walker is Assistant Professor, Coordinator of Interior Design and Chair of Architectural Studies at William Rainey Harper College. Her research examines the relationship between residential architecture, technology, public policy and the design industry’s persistent faith that prefabrication will solve the affordable housing crisis. She has presented her work at the Society of Architectural Historians and Vernacular Architecture Forum. Bobbi is a PhD candidate in History at Florida International University, where she completed a Master of Architecture degree in 2015. She is a registered architect in Illinois and Florida. Bobbi is endlessly curious about the cultural and structural implications of mapmaking, recipes for warm sandwiches and early aughts country-pop music crossovers. Bobbi lives in an old apartment near Lake Michigan with a redheaded human and two black cats.
