Bio
Katie L. Coldiron is a doctoral candidate in history at Florida International University, where she also works as FIU’s Latin American & Caribbean Studies Librarian. She holds an M.S. in Information Studies from the University of Texas at Austin, an M.A. in Latin American Studies from the University of Florida, and a B.A. in Anthropology/Sociology from Centre College. Her dissertation focuses on the history of the field of Cuban studies in the United States during the Cold War and post-Cold War periods. Her broader research interests include Cold War history, cultural and intellectual history, and twentieth-century Latin American and Caribbean history. Her professional interests include postcustodial digitization and aiding research in Latin American & Caribbean studies through library and archival materials.
