As a student of Atlantic History I specialize in African Diaspora, transnational African American, and Caribbean history. My doctoral research explores the intellectual and political alliances established among Black Barbadian immigrants to the United States and African Americans during the Civil Rights Movement of the early-to-middle twentieth century. Recently, I featured on “The Legacy of Black Protest,” a video podcast discussion recorded in conjunction with ASALH TV’s “In Retrospect and Prospect: Topics in African American Life and History” series.
