Congratulations to Maria Botero (BA F17)! This fall, Maria will be starting an MA in Strategic Communications, with a concentration on advocacy and social impact, at American University in Washington DC. She wrote her Senior Seminar paper on how FIU incorporated LGBT students into its diversity policy, based on research in the university archives.
Congratulations and best wishes to Ari Sandler (BA S17), who was accepted to the Masters of Journalism program at The University of Melbourne (Australia). Ari is currently teaching ESL and Language classes to recently arrived refugees as part of the Denver Fellows Program.
Congratulations to Jordan Pulido, who will graduate with his BA in history this Spring. Jordan has been selected as a Peace Corps volunteer. He will spend the next two years teaching English in Macedonia. The Peace Corps is an extremely selective government program placing volunteers all over the world.
