The department's expert on nineteenth-century race relations moderated a discussion panel on different aspects of Reconstruction.

For Veterans Day 2015, Dr. Jessica Adler wrote an op-ed in the Miami Herald (November 11, 2015) about Talking Service, a reading/discussion program which offers veterans the opportunity to have conversations about speeches, memoirs, letters, and stories focusing on the experience of military service.
